Speech Competition
During term 2 the Senior School learned how to use persuasive language in their writing. The students then had to choose a topic and craft a piece of writing to persuade their audience. The final copy was presented in the form of a speech.
Each student as assessed by a peer, as well as their teacher, for how well they presented their speech, and how well they persuaded their audience. Each class selected their best speakers to go into the Year group semi finals to win a place in the finals.
Five Year 5 and five Year 6 students were chosen to speak in front of the whole Senior School and we invited Mrs Richardson, (new board member), and Constable Leppien to do the difficult task of sorting out our best speakers in each group.
