Mathletics

Well done to our successful Mathletes who competed in the Contributing Schools Mathletics Competition.  Second year in a row we have won the event.  Extremely proud of you guys!  Mr Sisam

Throughout the year we have been going to Maths Enrichment.  We learn techniques to solve challenging problems, as well as extending our math knowledge.

From the Year 6 Maths Enrichment Group, six of us were chosen to participate in the Contributing Schools Mathletics Competition at Hastings Intermediate.  We were split into two groups of three and practised most lunch times to get ready for the competition.  The practices were challneging but we coped!

On the evening of 1 June we faced some of the toughest math equations in our lives.  The outcome for Frimley was great.  Frimley Team 2 WON, and Frimley Team 1 finished 3rd.  All our hard work paid off because we all walked away with prize money for our efforts!  We had a fantastic night!
