Kapa Haka
Kapa Haka celebrates something that makes New Zealand unique. It combines movement, songs and chants, which can tell stories, express feelings or celebrate events. Children develop coordination through waiata ā-ringa, haka and poi and enjoy being part of a group effort, working together in unison to share their skills and perform for an audience. Our Kapa Haka group is organized and taught by Mrs Leisa Moeke and Mr Michael Sidney. It includes over 60 students aged from 9 - 11 The aim of the group is to be able to welcome visitors to our school when appropriate. They will be performing at our end of year concert in December.
