Optimist Yachting 2009

Monday 16 November to Friday 20 November saw the Year 6 students have a great week learning to sail.  Monday and Tuesday we braved the windy conditions and some got to experience the rough seas!

Wednesday to Friday saw the days get warmer and the wind drop to a nice sea breeze for everyone to gain their confidence sailing out on the pond!  We had a blast!

We also went crabbing, walked the estuary, and had fun tipping each other out in the kayaks!  We finished the week off with some time in the sun enjoying another fabulous sausage sizzle, expertly cooked by the parents!

Thanks to the parents, and other adults who assisted with the running of the week - we all had fun!
