RECOUNT WRITING! 

We have been learning to write exciting recounts during writing time.

To write an interesting recount we need to... 

• Start with a hook in - "Bang! Crash! Ahhh!"
• Write an information sentence that tells us: when, who, where, what and why
• Write all the main events in order
• Describe in detail each main event
• Use some interesting sentence openers - Next, Soon, Later, After, Just then, All of a sudden
• Include our feelings and thoughts to make our story more interesting and personal to read
