Wow! We have been having lots of fun in Room 15, learning all about our Solar System. Keep an eye out for lots of interesting facts, wonderful projects, and a gallery of our learning.

In Room 15, we have been looking at the International Space Station and exploring what it is and what it is used for. From the information that we have researched, we found facts and created displays of our findings.
This website was very helpful when we were learning about the ISS.
Stay tuned for our exciting posters about the ISS.......

This web site has lots of useful information about our Solar System and the planets that make it up.
In Room 15, for homework, we created these awesome robots.
We had to look at why it was better to have two eyes than one. We found out that you could see better and complete simple tasks better with two eyes.
A robot called, Urbie, was created by NASA to embark on missions within the city. Urbie initially had one eye. Urbie was not able to see all objects/rocks that would come his way and could not see as far. NASA recreated Urbie to have two eyes. Now Urbie can see rocks, holes, stairs and other objects much better.
We have created out own robots that can withstand the harsh environments of space.
Check them out....they are wicked!
NASA wants to send humans back to the Moon!
In Room 15 we have become Moon explorers! Miss Munford taught us a bundle about space, technology (building structures) as well as some really cool maths. We got to build our own, Room 15, Moon habitat. We pretended that we were astronauts working with our team mates to build a new home for us on the Moon.
We learnt lots about geometrical shapes, angles, building structures and most importantly...working as a team.
Check out our fantastic Moon habitat in the images above...if your quick, you might see it in our room.
Lizzie and Sarah sharing their learning about volcanoes with some Room 16 students.
