Top Buns

When I grow up I'm going to start my own bread making business next to the Silky Oak Chocolate Factory with a windmill on top of it.  On the sails it will say "Top Buns" because they are going to be the best buns in the world.  The windmill grinds the flour to make the bread.

The Seed
Wow!  Look at how big this seed is.  It is as big as an orange! I wonder what is inside this seed.  I wonder what it will turn out like.  I think it will be big and wide and it will have fruit on it.  Here is how I am going to plant the seed.  Dig, dig, dig with the spade.  Then I put the seed in and covered it up and went back inside and waited and waited until it finally grew into an apple tree and I grabbed an apple to eat.  Tasty!  I’m glad I planted the seed!

Growing good plants
This amazing year we did gardening.  We planted lots of things.  Do you want to know what we grew?  Ok.  I’ll tell you.  We grew seeds in a glove first.  There are steps.  First you get a cotton ball and dip it in a glass of water.  Then you get some seeds and dip the cotton ball in the seeds and then you pop it in the finger of the glove.  Do this five times.  When the seeds got big and strong we put them in dirt.  Rich, good dirt so they will grow good and tasty. Later we planted them in our class garden.
We also had a competition.  It was about growing spuds.  Rooms 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14 did it.  Each class had a girls bucket and a boys bucket.  I hope we win.  To win we have to grow the most potatoes.
Now Room 11 has been picking some plants.  I hope next year we do it again because it was fun.
